Art (MA)

She was born in 1978 in Nicosia. She completed her bachelor degree in Tourism and Hotel Management in 1999 with the first rank in high school. After completing her master’s degree in the field of “Business Administration” as the first of the program in 2001, after that she joined the academic staff. She graduated her doctorate in the Department of Communication Studies in 2014 and worked as lecturer for more than nineteen years. Öze, who has been the Head of the Public Relations and Publicity Department for five years, has derived the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Communication and the Head of the Media and Communication Studies Department for the last two years. She is currently working as the Head of ARUCAD Visual Communication Design Department.

Her academic work focuses on media, culture, women’s studies, public relations, advertising, social media and digitalization. She presents her studies in international conferences, symposiums and congresses. Heretofore,  she contributed with her studies to international conferences, congress and symposiums in Britain, Italy, Ireland, Portugal, France, Spain, Russia, Denmark, Turkey and Cyprus till now. She has served as session chair for many times in international symposiums and congresses and has ongoing scientific committee memberships. She edited three international book and being a organisation chair for an international Conference. She has conducted many social responsibility projects with her students till now.

She is a long distance runner.

he graduated from the department of sculpture of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University in 2002. She completed her M.A studies from the department of sculpture at the Milano Brera Academy in 2013. She earned her Ph.D degree from the Institute of Educational Science of Marmara University in 2019. She worked for a documentary project as an advisor in TRT. Following years she served as an author, press advisor, editor and art and culture correspondent for a daily newspaper Anatolia. She undertoook some projects of sculpture at some private sectors between 2004-2010. She participated in some national and international workshops and exhibitions. She has been the editors of some books named European Museums (Beta,2016), Effects of Museum on Tourism (Beta, 2017) and Dictionary of Concepts of Interior Design (Beta,2017). European Museums II, Amerikan Museums and Adventure of Contemporary Sculpture that will be published in 2020- 2021

Her articles were published in academic journals and presented her research findings in national and international conferences on art education, Graffiti and culture. Her researches deal with semiotic analysis of works of arts with the critical cultural perspective of queer theories.

Besides national workshops, Kececi have participated in several workshops and exhibitions in Britain, USA, Mexico, Bulgaria and Turkey. Her works of arts in ceramic sculptures and paper art have been presented in several national and international exhibitions. Her solo ceramic sculpture exhibition was in Adana, Turkey in 2005. She is currently a member in the following associations: Ceramist North Cyprus, Cyprus Paper Artist Association, and Open Studios Association in South Cyprus.

Born in 1964, M. Turan Aksoy is a graduate of Gazi University (1986) in Ankara. He received his M.A from Hacettepe University. He then completed his Ph.D at University of Central England. He has worked at Hacettepe University, Yıldız Technical University and Yeditepe University as an instructor. He has been in Stuttgart Art Academy as a visiting professor.

She got her master from the same university (2002-2003), with the dissertation: “Installations as the Language of Expression in the shaping of thought conveyed by Ceramic Applications”. In 2004, she started her academic career as a part-time lecturer in the faculties of Architecture and Performing Arts. She continues as a Full-time lecturer in the Faculty of Fine Art (2006-2011) and Faculty of Communication (2011-19). She completed Phd studies in 2019, with the dissertation : “Graffiti as Ideological Communication Tools: LGBTI Graffiti in Nicosia Streets since 2012”, at Near East University.

He participated in various competitions as a jury member and as a participant in many national and international exhibitions. He played an active role in many arts organizations and events.
