The ARUCAD Industrial Design programme fosters a critical, analytical and creative approach to designing products, services and experiences. With the use of our digital and fabrication facilities including the FabLab, ARUCAD will empower our student designers with the knowledge, skills and creative confidence to resolve design problems with functional and sustainable product design solutions that are relevant to the needs of people, society and businesses today.
Product design is all about creating new three-dimensional products through an efficient process of idea generation, development and evaluation. Product designers have an understanding of the relationship between art, science and technology, and have the ability to exploit each of these areas in different ways to create new products.
Product design careers cover an extremely broad spectrum of industries. The skills learned and the knowledge gained at ARUCAD will prepare students for a wide range of careers in the Creative Industries, such as;
Design Researcher, etc.
